Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 4 potatoes peeled and diced
  • 3 carrots diced
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 4 celery ribs chopped
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 can peas undrained
  • 10 ounces whole kernel corn
  • 10 ounces green beans
  • 2 tsp salt
  • tsp ground thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • black pepper to taste
  • 3 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Fry the meat and onions lightly.
  • Add all other ingredients except peas and corn.
  • Cook for approximately an hour. Use handheld stick blender to mash carrots and potatoes. This should thicken your soup.
  • Add peas and corn and cook another 30 minutes.
  • If too thin, use a tablespoon of flour mixed to a paste with water, to thicken.
