Ingredients
 
 

  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 liters boiling water
  • 1 tsp cooking oil

For the bolognaise

  • 500 grams ground beef (mince)
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 chopped onion large
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 6 tomatoes small to medium
  • 2 tbsp Jimmy's sauce
  • 1 tsp Spice for Mince
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese to top with

Instructions
 

  • Fry the onions in a pan until brown using the oil.
  • While the onions are frying, add spaghetti to the 2 liters boiling water, with 1 tbsp salt and 1 tsp oil. Use a large pot.
  • Boil the spaghetti for approximately 10 minutes, until al dente, then strain.
  • Add garlic and mince to the fried onions. Fry some more until mince is brown.
  • Add grated carrots, salt, Jimmy's sauce and spice.
  • Add chopped tomatoes (fresh may be replaced by a large can of tomatoes).
  • Simmer for approximately 10 minutes until meat is fully cooked.
  • Serve bolognaise over a serving of strained spaghetti and top with cheese. You may also want to sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
