Ingredients
 
 

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • cup barbeque sauce
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp garlic crushed
  • 2 red chillies pips removed. chopped
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 kg whole chicken butterflied

Instructions
 

  • Mix all marinade ingredients together.
  • Use ¾ of the marinade to coat the chicken, also under the skin.
  • Cover in plastic wrap and leave overnight.
  • Heat oven to 200°C.
  • Bring to room temperature (about 20 minutes outside fridge).
  • Heat 30ml oil in a pan and sear chicken on both flat ends.
  • Spread rest of marinade evenly over rest of chicken.
  • Bake in oven for 35 minutes,( turn after 20 minutes).
  • Grill at 220°C for 5 minutes.
