  • 1 cup corn flour may be replaced with flour
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup castor sugar may be replaced with sugar
  • 500 grams butter not to be replaced with margarine
  • ¼ cup pecan nuts chopped


  • Put butter outside fridge for a few hours to soften.
  • Set oven on 200°C.
  • Knead all ingredients together. Add nuts last.
  • Press dough down in a flat oven pan.
  • Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
  • Allow to cool down slightly before cutting into fingers. Remove from pan when cold.
