Samosas are always welcome on any savory platter – served hot or cold. Keep a few dozen in the fridge for the children to enjoy as snacks over the holidays or for those unexpected visitors that pop in for a surprise.
Mince Samosa Recipe

- 500 g beef mince
- 2 tsp garlic grated
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 red chilli sliced
- ½ cup fresh coriander leaves chopped
- ½ tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 4 phyllo pastry sheets
- 60 ml ghee
Instructions
- Fry onion in oil for 1 minute, then add meat, ginger and garlic.
- Cook for 5 minutes while stirring.
- Add rest of ingredients except coriander leaves.
- Fry for another 5 minutes and add coriander.
- Stir through and fry for 2 minutes.
- Cool down completely before filling.

- Fold and fill your samosa triangles and fry 2 - 3 minutes in deep oil.
- Don't let the steam from the hot samosas cause them to become soft. Keep them apart while hot.
