Ingredients
 
 

  • 3 medium potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 small onion
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley leaves chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • tsp paprika

Instructions
 

  • Make sure the potatoes are dry. Dab the gratings dry with kitchen paper.
  • Mix with onions, flour and egg.
  • Add paprika, salt and pepper and chopped parsley.
  • Form flat cakes with your hands and place the on a sheet of baking paper.
  • Put in the freezer to firm for 10 minutes.
  • Bake in hot oil 1 cm deep for approximately 3 minutes. Turn and bake for another 2 minute or until brown. Avoid repeated turning as they break easily.
