Ingredients
  

  • 5 chicken pieces
  • 1 onion chpped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 3 tsp fresh ginger finely grated
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh, grated chillies optional for stronger curry
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp cumin (jeera)
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 can tomato puree or chopped tomatoes
  • 250 ml plain full cream yoghurt

Instructions
 

  • Fry onions in oil for 3 minutes
  • Add chicken and fry until brown
  • Add curry powder and fry a further minute
  • Add ginger and garlic
  • Add rest of spices and canned tomatoes
  • Add yoghurt and coriander leaves
  • Cover pot and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occassionally
