  • 2 pounds sirloin steak cut into ½ inch strips
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups mushrooms
  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • pepper to taste


  • Cook onions, garlic and mushrooms in butter until onions are soft.
  • Remove from pan. Cook beef in same pan until brown.
  • Stir in salt, pepper and Worcestershire and 1½ cups broth.
  • Heat till it boils, reduce heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
  • Stir in remaining broth mixed with flour.
  • Add onion mixture. Boil and stir for a minute or two.
  • Add cream and remove from heat.
