Homemade creamy avocado dipping sauce with these amazing cheesy mozzarella sticks.

Air Fryer Mozzarella Chips

- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 3 tsp garlic powder
- 2 eggs
- ⅔ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup cornflake crumbs
- 550 gram mozzarella
- olive oil spray
Creamy avocado dipping sauce
- 1 avocado roughly chopped
- ⅓ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup plain greek style yogurt
- 2 tbsp basil pesto
- 1 green onion roughly chopped
Instructions
Make your Creamy Avocado Dipping Sauce
- Place the avocado, juice, yogurt, pesto, and onion in a small food processor.
- Season well with salt and pepper, and process until smooth and combined.
- Cover, and refrigerate until required.
Making the mozzarella chips
- Line a large tray with baking paper.
- Place flour and garlic powder in a shallow bowl. Season with salt.
- Whisk eggs in a separate shallow bowl, and combine breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Cut the mozzarella into 2cm (0.78inches) - thick slices, then into sticks. Dip cheese in flour to coat, and shake off excess.
- Working in batches, coat sticks in egg mixture then in breadcrumbs, and place on prepared tray.
- Freeze for 1 hour or until firm.
- Spray mozzarella stick liberally with oil. Line the air fryer basket with baking paper, leaving 1 cm (0.39 inches) edges to allow air to circulate.
- Cook sticks at 180°C (356°F), in batches for 4 to 4 ½ minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
